TO HIM WHO IS ABLE
JUDE 24-25

A recognition of God’s glorious actions and attributes;
LUKE 2:14
14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

ROMANS 16:25–27
25 Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ… 27 to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.

EPHESIANS 3:20–21
20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

PHILIPPIANS 4:20
20 To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

1 TIMOTHY 6:15–16
15 …he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

1 PETER 5:11
11 To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

2 PETER 3:18
18 …To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

Him who is able;
DANIEL 3:17
17 …our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace…

MATTHEW 3:9
9 And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.

ACTS 20:32
32 And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
ROMANS 14:4
4 Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

2 CORINTHIANS 9:8
8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

EPHESIANS 3:20
20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us…

HEBREWS 2:18
18 For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

HEBREWS 7:25
25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

JAMES 4:12
12 …he who is able to save and to destroy…

To keep you from stumbling;
LUKE 2:8
8 And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

2 THESSALONIANS 3:3
3 But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.

2 TIMOTHY 1:14
14 By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.

JOHN 10:27–29
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

JOHN 6:39–40
39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. 40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

JOHN 17:12
12 While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost…

Examples of God’s ‘keeping’ work;
GENESIS 20:6
6 Then God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know that you have done this in the integrity of your heart, and it was I who kept you from sinning against me. Therefore I did not let you touch her.

1 SAMUEL 29:4
4 But the commanders of the Philistines were angry with [David]. And the commanders of the Philistines said to him, “Send the man back…He shall not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he become an adversary to us…

GENESIS 11:6–7
6 And the LORD said, “…they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.”

To present you blameless;
EPHESIANS 1:4
4 …even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him…

EPHESIANS 5:27
27 …so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.

PHILIPPIANS 2:15
15 …that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

COLOSSIANS 1:22
22 …he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him,

HEBREWS 9:14
14 …how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

1 PETER 1:19
19 …but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.

Before the presence of His glory with great joy;
1 TIMOTHY 6:16
16 …who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see…

ISAIAH 6:5
5 And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips…for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!”

MALACHI 3:2
2 But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears?...

To the only God;
ROMANS 16:27
27 …to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.

1 TIMOTHY 1:17
17 To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

DEUTERONOMY 6:4
4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.

Our Savior;
LUKE 1:47 (See also: 1 Tim. 1:1; 2:3; 4:10; Tit. 1:3; 2:20; 3:4)
47 …and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior…

Through Jesus Christ our Lord;
ACTS 4:12
12 “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Glory: the radiant outshining of His infinite excellence;
HEBREWS 1:3
3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature…

Majesty: greatness, magnificence, loftiness;

Dominion: absolute sovereign power and rulership over all things;
ISAIAH 45:7
7 I form light and create darkness; I make well-being and create calamity; I am the LORD, who does all these things.

Authority: the right to exercise power;

18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Before all time, now, and forevermore. Amen;
