EXPOSITORY PREACHING
At Disciples Fellowship, we hold a high view of the Scriptures. We share the spirit of the Thessalonian believers, who “received the Word as what it really is, the Word of God, and not men” (1 Thess. 2:13), and therefore, the effect of the Word among them was “powerful” (1 Thess. 1:5).

This view of Scripture compels us to value expository preaching. Expository preaching is simply an approach to the preaching of Scripture that endeavors to explain and apply the text (2 Tim. 4:1-2). Instead of using the Bible to support the preacher’s point, expository preaching asks, “What is the point of this text, and how does it apply to my life?” The preacher’s comments on the Scripture are given to explain and clarify the text, not the other way around.
"If you haven’t heard expository preaching, you don’t know what you’re missing! My eyes have been opened to a deeper understanding of God’s Word and my heart is full with awe and eagerness to learn more."

DISCIPLESHIP
All Christians should be familiar with Jesus’ departing words to His Church. We refer to these words as “The Great Commission,” because it is Jesus’ commissioning of His people to a task. But this is not just a task. This is the task of our lives:
Matthew 28:19-20
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Jesus’ command to His church is make disciples. At Disciples Fellowship, we take this seriously─seriously enough to put it in our name.
"I did not realize how hungry I was for deeper spiritual food until I became a part of Disciples Fellowship."

GENUINE FELLOWSHIP
The New Testament speaks often of the true and genuine “fellowship of the saints.” This is a supernatural bond shared between those who are regenerate citizens of the heavenly kingdom.
The New Testament is clear: this bond is powerful and tangible in the Body of Christ. Jesus places it in a higher priority than His earthly family bonds (Mark 3:35). Paul teaches that this is a bond of genuine affection (1 Thess. 2:8), and furthermore, though the bond of fellowship is the work of the Spirit, the Church must work to maintain it (Eph. 4:3).

At Disciples Fellowship, we prioritize this supernatural bond in the life of our Church. If you have never experienced the true fellowship of the saints, we invite you to experience Disciples Fellowship.
